GROUP AFFILIATIONS: Justice League of America, Doom Patrol
FIRST APPEARANCE: JLA #69 (October 2002)
once an operative for a man named Manson and his organization, the Clockwatchers.
Her exact origin and the source of her powers remain a mystery. Even
the U.S. government availed themselves of the Clockwatchers resources;
Faith was considered a weapon and a soldier. At some point, she met Batman,
who was sufficiently impressed with her demeanor and her massive telekinetic
abilities. Later she developed a distaste for Manson's agenda and defected
to the JLA. When the main team was lost in time (JLA
#69), she was recruited to join a substitute JLA.
Faith's "defection" to
the JLA angered even President Luthor and Manson hatched a plan to secure
her voluntary return. (#79) She ultimately
bested Manson and forced him to back down. He and his new lackeys,
Axis Amerika, disappeared to haunt Faith and the JLA another day. (#82)
reasons unrevealed, Faith is nicknamed the "Fat Lady." Her
weight is immense and she has revealed her true nature only to her
teammate, Major Disaster.
