The Road to (a Broken) Home

Tigorr and Ryand'r tend to one of the Viathans which accompany them, which is dying. There they find dying capsules containing former Vegan captives. All have died save two. Tigorr admits to Ryand'r that though he'd always loved Harpis, Demonia (in life and death) had kept them apart. Back on the Command Ship, the Green Man mentally soothes Elu while Artin performs critical surgery. (OM 31)
In hopes of reestablishing trust between them, Kalista and Primus delve deep into their pasts. Though they recount many painful memories, they admit their continued love for one another and are reunited at last. (OMANN 2)

The Crisis on Infinite Earths

On Tamaran, a memorial is held for the Omega Men, who are considered dead. There Doc and Shlagen are approached by the Tamaranean woman Zirral. She brings a message from Rynoc, a Warlord of Okaara. He recruits the two Omegans to accompany them to New Alliance, where Harry Hokum is to propose an alliance against the Spider Guild. Before they reach their destination, their ship enters a space-time tear due. The Tweeners who were freed from the Wombworld begin airing "The Brave Young Omegan's" using footage taken on Wombworld. (OM 31)
Amid the fluctuations in time and space, Blue Devil is pulled through space warp and appears on Rynoc's ship, (bound for New Alliance). The ship is destroyed and thrown into another universe. (CRISIS 8) After much confusion, the Omega Men are finally teleported to New Alliance. (BD 18)

In the city of Ghaa'Tu, Felicity is finding life on Karna nothing like she'd expected. (Shortly after she was born, she and her mother were captured by Gordanians slave traders and sold off-planet.) Tigorr was the first other Karnan feline she'd ever met. She makes a modest living as an exotic dancer and hooks up with a man named "Mung." In truth, Mung is the bounty hunter Bedlam, who'd been stranded on Karna earlier. During the time that Felicity is with Mung, a rash of serial killings occurs. Victims appear to have been gored by cat's claws. In truth, Felicity was the killer. Like Tigorr, she is a "regressor," one of the last Karnans who can change their shape. During these transformations, she commits murder yet retains no memories of her actions. Ultimately, Captain Grynt pegs Mung as the killer and intervenes just in time to prevent him from killing Felicity. She decides to leave Karna and return to the Omega Men. (OM 32)

Elu emerges renewed from his healing tank. Thanks to the Green Man, he believes that none have witnessed his true form. Tigorr brings the two surviving Vegans from the Viathan onboard: Oho-Besh, a minstrel from Changralyn, and Yndamaati, Kalista's niece from Euphorix. Artin brings them to Refuge, an artificial moon he has secretly been building above the planet Kuraq. Dorg emerges as leader of the refugees, dissenting and asking why go to wild Kuraq when the moon is inhabitable? Tigorr replies that the refugees must take hold of their own destiny. There the Green Man receives a mental message for Primus from Nimbus. Nimbus explains how he unsuccessfully tried to strip away X'Hal's evil. In retaliation, she used the chaotic energies of the emerging universal Crisis and trapped him between six other-dimensional worlds. These worlds combined to form the new world, Kuraq. Ryand'r also receives a message: from his sister Koriand'r on Tamaran. And on New Alliance, Harry Hokum receives Rynoc and the others. Shlagen fearfully reveals to Harry Hokum that the Omega Men are no more. (OM 33)

Upheaval on Tamaran

In addition to the threat of the Spider Guild, Tamaran is on the brink of civil war. Komand'r reemerges and successfully incites sentiments against her father, the king. Komand'r allies herself with the powerful Auron, who she hopes will keep the Omega Men at bay. King Myand'r responds by sending for Koriand'r on Earth; Titans Jericho and Nightwing accompany her. When she arrives, she learns that her marriage has been arranged. Myand'r explains his decisions and declares that for the good of Tamaran, she must marry Karras, the Prince of Kalapatt. He too, loves another, a woman named Taryia. (NTT 15)

Auron attacks Omega Men in space near Tamaran, and severely burns Ynda. Then he heralds X'Hal's return to the faithful Tamaraneans and sets up a conflict, saying that the Omega Men have been brainwashed and are bent on harming X'Hal. When the Omega Men's ship approaches the planet Komand'r disrupts its systems, incapacitating Artin in the process. Elu pushes his force field over Artin's head, severing his connection to the ship. From there, Primus commands the ship to a bumpy landing (aided by Koriand'r). The ship crashes into the Omega Men's own memorial. In the Diwrnos system., the site of the Refuge and Kuraq, Harpis reveals to Tigorr that her body is atrophying as a result of the Psions' tampering. On Kuraq, the refugee Dorg emerges as a leader. (OM 34)

Komand'r uses Auron's energy to influence her foes' emotions. But when Jericho takes control of Kalista, she snaps out of it and Komand'r is revealed. When Kalista turns on Auron, he flees. The Omega Men soon depart, leaving Ryand'r behind to face Komand'r's army. He locates her troops and he and the Titans are captured. (NTT 16)

Elu seeks advice from Nightwing; he has become concerned about his friendship with Ryand'r since Ynda entered the picture. Elu explains that since people of his kind do not have sexual relationships, friendship is their strongest bond. Artin removes a block in Kalista prohibiting her desire-invoking powers. As a result, she can now use this, or her fear-invoking power. Artin then reveals an ancient machine called the Orlac Device which was once part of Wombworld's power supply and is rumored to be from the Psion lab where X'Hal was created. The Omegans trap Auron in an infinity loop then the Green Man uses his teleportation powers to deliver the Orlac Device into X'Hal's hands. This disperses her essence throughout Vega. They release Auron, who departs in grief. Meanwhile, "Gosh" Jargun of the Tweener Network broadcasts it all.
On New Alliance, Zirral is forced to make the difficult decision to sleep with Harry Hokum in order to free her fellow Omegans. Despite this, Hokum sends them and his Gordanian guard, Uhlan to Slagg as an offering to the Spider Guild Strand Captain. The Strand Captain scares Shlagen into a coma, which appears to be death to the others. (OM 35)

As the Titans and Ryand'r escape from Komand'r, Koriand'r weds Karras. Soon Komand'r's forces attack her family and Myand'r asks his people to decide their fate. Unbelievably, they call for Komand'r and he abdicates the throne. Komand'r sends them away to Okaara on the pretense of "retraining." Once the ship has left orbit, she destroys it. (NTT 17)
Myand'r and his family escape the blast travel safely to Okaara. There, the newly-escaped Titans join them and demand to return to Earth. Ryand'r escorts Nightwing and Jericho on their two week journey home. (NTT 18)

Komand'r soon settles into her duties as queen of Tamaran and requests of Primus his consideration of an alliance. Primus tells her he is suspicious and makes no commitments. Soon she also learns that her family has survivied and orders them back to Tamaran. Return they do, but with a battle plan spearheaded by Koriand'r. (NTT 23) Koriand'r discovers that the Tamaranean people actually back Komand'r. When Komand'r agrees to let her family guide her rule by sitting on the high council, Koriand'r departs in outrage. Ryand'r then returns her to Earth, where she will again live with the Titans. (NTT 24)

Safe Haven

Primus and Kalista follow an old distress call from Broot, who has since returned to help his people on Changralyn. When they arrive, Primus and Kalista are greeted by Thisal who relates Broot's fate: He had been captured by the Spider Guild and experienced visions of his dead son. This gave him the strength to break free. He discovered that the Spider's command ship on that planet had crashed, it's commander dead. He then successfully uses the Spider's command helmet to order its troops to release all the Changralynians. Broot himself explains that he has forever shed the nickname of "Broot" and has resolved to live among his people, who now regard him as a hero. With control of the Spiders, he is using them to help rebuild Changralyn.
Left for dead, the Spider's Captian discards Shlagen to the underground where he is found by his father. Shlagen learns that the Spittroids have allied with the Gordanians for their mutual benefit. Above, Zirral manages to break the others free and, aided by Spittroids, they destroy all the Spiders' eggs. They depart with Shlagen's father in tow. Angry with his treatment by Harry Hokum. Uhlan willingly accompanies the Omega Men, effectively switching sides. On Karna, where Bedlam faces trial, he receives an ominous note from Lobo. (OM 36)

Primus and Artin undergo a procedure to finally separate their psyches. Artin is placed in a not-yet-complete android body. Once the Omegans finish deploying teleportation satellites above Vegan worlds, Primus and Kalista depart for Euphorix, bent on liberating their homeworld. The Green Man too departs when he receives a mental message from Nimbus on Kuraq. He steps through a portal to and arrives in time to help Tigorr and Harpis complete their exploration of Kuraq's six segments; they find the perfect land for Omegan refugess to colonize. With Artin at less than full ability, Elu alone remains when the Psions attack the Omega ship. Elu overcomes great fear to drop his force field and operate the ship's controls. On Karna, Lobo finally completes his contract and executes his former partner, Bedlam. (OM 37)

Excitement brews throughout Vega as its citizens begin to see the advertisements from the Omega Men heralding a major announcement on Tweener Network. Artin has freed himself from the symbiotic relationship with Primus and transfers his conscience to a robot body. He uses "holoderm" to simulate a humanoid appearance. Finally free from the Citadel and the Spiders, Doc's ship intercepts Artin's. It's followed by a Citadel ship, which is in turn attacked by the returning Felicity. On Kuraq, Tigorr prepares for the arrival of Vegan refugees as the Tweeners begin their broadcast. The Omega Men explain to the Vegans that they have the opportunity to come and live on Kuraq, the Omegan colony, but they must forsake their former homes, as the planet's location location is a secret. At first, the Psions are concerned that this may interrupt their Vegan experiements, but they soon discover that because of the departure of the Guardians of the Universe (Green Lantern #200), they are no longer confined to Vegan space. Harry Hokum is left on his own, as the Psions suggest that he, too has been a part of one of their experiments. Finally, Artin initiates the Psion teleportational circuits which can transport anyone to Kuraq simply by placing the image of Primus' hand. The teleporters then relay people to satellites above each world, on to Refuge, and then to Kuraq. Doc, Shlagen, Rynoc, Zirral, Uhlan, Ynda, Harpis and Tigorr remain on Kuraq to help guide the new colony. Felicity, Elu and Artin decide to venture to Okaara and find Ryand'r. Primus and Kalista descend into the depths of Euphorix, seeking the aid of the planet's Old Ones to defeat the Spiders. (OM 38)

Ryand'r soon finds life unlivable under Komand'r and contacts the Omega Men to retrieve him. The team sets out to rescure Primus and Kalista on Euphorix. Once there, they descend into the same well as their former leaders in Euphorix's Witch Wood. They soon discover that their friends have been trapped all this time deep within the planet, in an abandoned Psion control center. (Presumably, the Psions had used this place in years past to deliver "spiritual guidance" to the witch-folk above.) There, Kalista reveals that she is pregnant. Between them, they devise an escape plan and Artin retrieves them. Ryand'r reconciles with his love, Ynda, and creates a recording of these events and via Artin, sends a message to his sister Koriand'r on Earth. (TTS15)

Invasion!

When the Dominators and Khunds began forming an Alliance for the invasion Earth, several Vegan races (the Okaarans, Gordanians, Psions and New Citadel) join them. This powerful Alliance imprisons many of the universe's greatest heroes on the Starlag. The Starlag is based in the Vegan system and run by the Citadel. By this time, the Spider Guild are working simply as "independent contractors" to the Alliance instead of joining it. The Dominion sends a fake distress call from Primus and Kalista which lures Tigorr and the other Omegans into a Durlan trap. In this hopeless battle, three Omega Men are killed: Ynda, Felicity and the Green Man. All the others, including Broot, Harpis, Doc, Shlagen, Oho Besh, Ryand'r and Tigorr are captured. (INV 1) (See also the L.E.G.I.O.N. Chronology)

The Omega Men are eventually released into the common holding area, where they reunite with the already-captured Kalista and Primus. The Coluan Vril Dox II engineers the prisoners' escape by blowing the cell door. This frees the captives but thrusts them into immediate confrontation with Citadel forces. Here, Primus, leader of the Omega Men is gunned down and dies. (INV 2)

With Primus' death, Earth's battle became the Omega Men's battle. En route to Earth, they are met by Hal Jordan, who delivers his personal condolences to Kalista. Allied with the Earth heroes, the group travels to the Dominion home world in search of the antidote to the Dominator's gene bomb. J'onn J'onzz pries the formula from it's creator's mind and then they return to the Starlag, where his former lab can synthesize the antidote. The heroes succeed just in time to escape the destruction of the Starlag itself. (INV 3)

After the invaders were defeated, the Earth group, the Blasters tagged along with the Omega Men for a time. Along the way, they captured the ship of the cat-woman named Churljenkins, which the Omega Men intended to repair and use to return to Vega. The Blasters returned to Earth. Later (and unwittingly) Snapper Carr teleported back to Churl's ship and freed her from the Omega Men. The two of them reclaimed her ship intended to return Churl to home. They discovered, however, that her home planet had been destroyed in paving a spaceway to Earth. It seemed some enterprising Spider Guild beings had established a "Weapons Depot" on Earth. This left the Omega Men stranded again; it is uncertain how they returned to Vega. (BLAS)

When Koriand'r is buried following a battle with Raven, she relives the Okaaran ritual of Kynasf'rr. In her visions, she is visited by images of the Warlords, and of Komand'r, with whom she makes peace. Visions of Auron and X'Hal ultimately lead her to freedom. (NT109)She utimately decides to leave both the Titans and Earth to return to Tamaran. (SHC94 11) On her way from Earth, she stops to say goodbye to Donna Troy and ask their help in returning her home. She aids the Darkstars in a caper against their foes, the Syndicate. (DARK 26-27) At some point, Tamaran is destroyed and Koriand'r returns again. She takes a second husband and joins Komand'r and her people in the search for a new home. (??)

Final Night

The surviving Tamaraneans have found a new home (New Tamaran) where they have begun the difficult task of colonizing a barren world. One day, a woman who they deem to be a spy crash lands on the planet. They inadvertently destroy her communicator, so she cannot warn them that the Sun-Eater approaches their system. Komand'r sends Koriand'r husband, Ph'yzzon, and an army into battle against approaching the Sun-Eater, but all forces are slaughtered. Princess Koriand'r trusts the "spy," however and releases her and guides her off-planet. Just then, the Sun-Eater devours the system, killing all those on New Tamaran. The "spy" continues on her mission of warning towards Earth. Koriand'r soon also returns to Earth. (FN)

Limbo...

Years lapse until the next recorded contact with the Omega Men. Tigorr encounters Earth's Starman, Jack Knight and his companion Mikaal Tomas when they all wind up imprisoned on the Throneworld of the Crown Imperial. The Starmen are in search of Earth man Will Payton, who they believe is also being held there by Jediah Rikane. They meet Tigorr on the prison world of Asryx. Tigorr had broken with the Omega Men and been caught smuggling weapons to the Crown Imperial's resistance forces. (STAR 57)
Mikaal's powers activate in time to save the Starmen's lives and they free the other prisoners, which includes Will Payton. (STAR 58) The rebels, led by Jack and Will, then lead a siege on the Crown Imperial palace. Payton, it seems, has a mysterious relationship to the Crown Imperial's former prince, Gavyn. (STAR 59) Rikane and his army are ultimately defeated and Tigorr is again left to his own devices. (STAR 60)

New New Tamaran

On Earth, Starfire receives word from her brother and recruits the Titans (Cyborg, Argent, Tempest, Troia and Flash) to accompany her to Vega. There, Ryand'r is attempting to settle the remaining Tamaraneans into a new colony (most of these Tamaraneans were explorers who survived New Tamaran's destruction). Ryand'r claims that the Omega Men are waging war off-planet and are unable to help. Together they plan an invasion of the Gordane continent of Karna, which supposedly headquarters the Gordanian forces. Tempest is captured by the Gordanians and learns the truth behind the situation: it is the Tamaraneans who are invading the Gordanians' home. (TITANS 17)

The Titans soon also guess the true nature of the conflict, and retreat. Tempest works with his captor, Merak, to negotiate a settlement with the Gordanians leaders. Just then, the Gordanian army returns en masse to it's people's aid. (TITANS 18)

Flanked by a contingent of Omega Men led by Nimbus, the Tamaraneans are forced to stand down. Tempest proposes to the Gordanians that they allow the Tamaraneans to colonize part of their continnent. In return, the Tamaraneans will use their good reputation on the Gordanian's behalf to secure for them a role in the New Vega. Since the new economies of Vega include little slave trading, the Gordanians accept, providing that Ryand'r is not his people's leader. Koriand'r steps up then to fulfill her own legacy as the princess of her people. She again says farewell to the Titans and also to Nightwing, back on Earth. (TITANS 19)
