THE ATOM
Secretly college professor Al Pratt, the Atom is a costumed acrobat with no superpowers. Pratt took up crimefighting after training in weightlifting and boxing which he undertook because he was tired of being pushed around due of his short stature. He had his own series in FLASH #80-104 (minus 81, 86, 88, 96, 101), COMIC CAVALCADE 22-23, SENSATION 86, and ALL-AMERICAN #19-46, 48-61, 70-72. He was a JSA member from ALL-STAR #3-57 (missing only 3 issues). His first JLA appearance was in JLA #21, and he has participated in three JLA-JSA team-ups to date. The Atom has made two guest appearances in the Earth-1 Atom's comic.

BATGIRL
Barbara Gordon, Daughter of Gotham City's police commissioner is secretly Batgirl. When she debuted in DETECTIVE #359, Bobs Gordon was a librarian, but she's since been elected to Congress (DETECTIVE #428). As Batgirl, she is a costumed athlete with a few crime fighting weapons. She had her own series in DETECTIVE #384-428 (alternating with Robin) and currently appears in BATMAN FAMILY. Her only JLA appearance was in JLA #60, where she was abducted along with the JLAers by the Queen Bee.

BATMAN
Secretly millionaire Bruce Wayne, Batman Is the Earth-2 counterpart of the JLA's Batman, with similar attributes. He is a retired JSA member who appeared only In ALL-STAR #7 and 36. He has come out of retirement but once in JLA #135-137. The 1940's issues of BATMAN, DETECTIVE and ing WORLD'S FINEST depicted his adventures.

BLACK CANARY
Florist Dinah Drake is the alter ego of Black lime Canary, a costumed acrobat who at first seemed to work outside of the law. She was introduced in Johnny Thunder** series in FLASH #86-88, shared the strip's title In #90-91, and had her own series in FLASH #92-104, as well as in COMIC CAVALCADE any #25. She was a JSA member from ALL-STAR #38-57, the last member to join the his n group. She appeared in five JLA-JSA team-him ups beginning with JLA #21 before coming to Earth-1. BLACK CONDOR
Secretly former senator Tom Wright (an identity he took when the real Sen. Wright was murdered), Black Condor has the mutant ability to fly. He had his own series in CRACK #1-31 and was revealed to be a Freedom Fighter on Earth-X in JLA #107-108. He currently appears In FREEDOM FIGHTERS. His real name Is Richard Gray, Jr.

BLACK LANTERN
Actually John Stewart, architect. Black Lantern became Hal Jordan's alternate in the Green Lantern Corp in GREEN LANTERN #87, succeeding Guy Gardner. His only other appearance to date was in JLA #110, when he took Jordan's place after Jordan's power ring inexplicably failed to protect him from harm when he slipped on a bar of soap in the shower.

BULLETGIRL
Secretly Susan Kent Barr, the wife of Bullet-man, Bulletgirl accompanies her husband in his crimefighting career. She has appeared only as a co-star in her husband's series.

BULLETMAN
Secretly police scientist Jim Barr, Bulletman Invented a serum that increased his strength and a gravity helmet that enables him (and his wife) to fly. He had his own series In NICKEL #1-8, MASTER #7-106, BULLET-MAN #1-16, AMERICA'S GREATEST #1-8, and WHIZ #106. He was revealed to be living on Earth-S In JLA #135-137.

CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR.
Secretly Freddy Freeman, Captain Marvel Jr. appears when the crippled Freddy speaks the words, "Captain Marvel," since the Captain gave him a portion of his powers in order to save Freddy's life. He had his own series in MASTER #23-133, CAPTAIN MARVEL JR. #1-119, ALL-HERO #1, AMERICA'S GREATEST #8, and appeared in MARVEL FAMILY #1-89. His sole JLA appearance was in JLA #137 where he was revealed to live on Earth-S.

CAPTAIN MARVEL
Secretly TV news reporter Billy Batson, Captain Marvel appears when Billy speaks the word, "Shazam," which is the name of the ancient Egyptian wizard who gave him the powers of six gods and heroes for which Shazam's name is an acronym. He had his own series in WHIZ #1-155, CAPTAIN MARVEL #1-150. AMERICA'S GREATEST #1-8, MARVEL FAMILY #1-89, and currently stars in SHAZAM #1-26. He was revealed to be on Earth-S in JLA #135 and appeared in JLA #137.

SNAPPER CARR
Snapper Carr was awarded honorary membership in BRAVE & BOLD #28. A native of Happy Harbor, He actively participated in a number of adventures, including BB #28-30 and JLA #1, 6-8, 10, 12-13, 18-20, 27, 29-31, 33-35, 43, 57, 63, 65-66, 77, and minded the headquarters on various other occasions. In JLA #77, he betrayed the Justice League's confidence in him to a disguised Joker, and resigned his honorary membership.

THE CREEPER
Alias TV news reporter Jack Ryder, The Creeper is a costumed acrobat whose strength and agility have been augmented by a chemical injected in him by the late Dr. Yatz. The Creeper's garish appearance and spook act are intended to strike terror in criminals' hearts, but his method of operation has also made him wanted by the law. He appeared In his own series in SHOWCASE #73, CREEPER #1-6, FIRST ISSUE SPECIAL #7, ADVENTURE #445-447, and SUPER-TEAM FAMILY #2 with Wildcat. His only JLA appearance was in JLA #70, when the JLA tried to determine whether he was a hero or a villain. After being distracted by aliens, the JLA decided not to pursue he matter further.

CRIMSON AVENGER
Secretly publisher Lee Travis, the Crimson Avenger is a costumed acrobat who used to fight crime with his Oriental companion, Wing, who has since died in action. Crimson Avenger appeared in his own series in WORLD'S FINEST #1-5 and DETECTIVE #20-29, 37-89 and with the Seven Soldiers of Victory in LEADING #1-14. He was shown to be banished Into the past in JLA #10O-102, his only JLA appearance to date.

DEADMAN
Once aerialist Boston Brand, Deadman was killed by a sniper named the Hook as an Initiation into the League of Assassins. Deadman was granted ghostly life by the Hindu spirit Rama Kushna in order to track down his murderer, and, later, to track down all killers. His only power is the ability to enter the bodies of the living and control their actions. He had his own series in STRANGE ADVENTURES #205-216, and in AQUA-MAN #50-52, He appeared briefly in JLA #94 in Aquaman's body to warn Batman of the League of Assassins.

DOCTOR FATE
Secretly Kent Nelson, archaeologist turned surgeon. Doctor Fate was raised by the Egyptian wizard, Nabu the Wise/and given mastery of the magical arts. He appeared in his own series in MORE FUN #55-98 and as a Justice Society member in ALL-STAR #3-21 (minus #13 and #20). His first JLA appearance was JLA #21, and he has appeared in nine of the fourteen JLA-JSA team-ups to date. Since his JLA revival, he appeared in SHOWCASE #55-56 costarring with Hourman, and in FIRST ISSUE SPECIAL #9. He currently appears in ALL-STAR COMICS with its revival in #58.

DOCTOR MID-NITE
Dr. Charles McNider, physician turned writer, is Dr. Mid-nite, a costumed acrobat who was blinded by an explosion but is able to see in the dark. He can see in light only with infrared glasses. He uses such vision-shrouding devices as the Blackout Bomb. He had his own series in ALL-AMERICAN #25-102 and was a JSA member from ALL-STAR #8-57. His first JLA appearance was JLA #29 and he has participated in six JLA-JSA team-ups to date. He currently appears in ALL-STAR with its revival in #58.

DOLLMAN
Secretly scientist Darrell Dane, Dollman has the mutant ability to mentally reduce himself to six inches In height. He had his own series in FEATURE #27-139 and DOLLMAN #1-47. Discovered to be a Freedom Fighter on Earth-X in JLA #107-108, he now appears in FREEDOM FIGHTERS #1-5.

ELONGATED MAN
Actually Ralph Dibny, amateur detective, Elongated Man is able to stretch any part of his body due to the Gingold elixir. He first appeared in JLA #51 as a friend of Zatanna, and returned In JLA #100 as an invited guest at the JLA's anniversary party. In JLA #105, he became a Justice League member. THE FLASH
Secretly research scientist Jay Garrick, The Flash gained super-speed by accidentally inhaling hard water fumes. He appeared in his own series in ALL-FLASH #1-32, and FLASH #1-104, and was the first Earth-2 hero to be revived (in FLASH #123). A JSA member from ALL-STAR #3-6. 25-57, he first appeared in JLA in #21 and has participated in seven JLA-JSA team-ups since. He currently appears in the revived ALL-STAR #58-62.

GOLDEN EAGLE
High school student Charley Parker became Golden Eagle when he was temporarily given wings, making him resemble his hero, Hawkman, by Hawkman's foe, the Matter Master in JLA #116. Losing them at the end of the story, this was his only major appearance. He was declared an honorary member of the JLA.

GREEN ARROW
Secretly millionaire Oliver Queen, Green Arrow is a costumed archer who employed trick arrows to fight crime. The Earth-2 counterpart of the JLA's Green Arrow, he was taught his mastery of the bow by American Indians. He had his own series in ADVENTURE #103-269 (minus #206) and WORLD'S FINEST #7-133, and MORE FUN #73-107. He was a member of the Seven Soldiers of Victory and appeared in LEADING #1-14. His only JLA appearance was in JLA #100-102 along with the other Soldiers.

GREEN LANTERN
Alan Scott, engineer turned radio announcer turned broadcasting executive, became Green Lantern when he found a green lamp from which he made a power ring that was effective over everything but wood. He had his own series in ALL-AMERICAN #16-102, COMIC CAVALCADE #1-29, and GREEN LANTERN #1-38, and S|| was a JSA member from ALL-STAR #3-7, 25-57. His first JLA appearance was in JLA #21 and he participated in six JLA-JSA team-ups since. He currently appears in the revived ALL-STAR #58-62.

THE GUARDIANS OF THE UNIVERSE
The immortals of Oa appeared in JLA #80, and #129 to warn the Justice League of threats to Earth. First appearing in GREEN LANTERN #1, they have made numerous appearances in that series.

HAWKGIRL
Secretly Shiera Sanders Hall, wife of the Earth-1 Hawkman, Hawkgirl is a Thanagarian police officer who employs wings and an anti-gravity belt to fight crime. She appears strictly in her husband's series. Her first JLA appearance was at Hawkman's induction in JLA #31, and she has appeared in fourteen issues of JLA to date, with active roles in five of them.

HAWKMAN
Archaeologist Carter Hall is secretly Hawkman, said to be the reincarnated Egyptian prince Khufu who uses wings and the Nth Metal to fly. He had his own series in FLASH #1-104 and ALL-STAR #1-2. He was a JSA member from ALL-STAR #3-57, and has been the JSA's permanent chairman since #8. His first JLA appearance was in JLA #21 and he has appeared in eight team-ups to date. He currently appears in the revived ALL-STAR,

HOURMAN
Chemist Rex Tyler developed a wonder drug called Miraclo that granted him exactly one hour of super-strength hence, Hourman. He had his own series in ADVENTURE #48-83 and was a JSA member from ALL-STAR #3-7. In ADVENTURE #71, a super-strength ray replaced the Miraclo pill. His first JLA appearance was In JLA #21 and he has appeared in 6 JLA-JSA team-ups to date. He has co-starred In SHOWCASE #55-56 with Doctor Fate since his JLA revival and had a featurette in SPECTRE #7. He has made a guest appearance In ALL-STAR #62.

HUMAN BOMB
Secretly scientist Roy Lincoln, the Human Bomb concocted a serum that enables him to project explosions from his body without suffering physical harm. Unable to completely control it, he must wear an insulated suit. He had his own series in POLICE #1-58 and was discovered to by a Freedom Fighter on Earth-X in JLA #107-108. He currently appears in FREEDOM FIGHTERS.

IBIS THE INVINCIBLE
Once known as Amentep, son of an ancient pharaoh. Ibis uses his mystic wand, the Ibistick, to fight crime. He had his own series in WHIZ #1-155, IBIS #1-6 and ALL-HERO #1, and was shown to be on Earth-S in JLA #135-137.

MANHUNTER
Attorney Mark Shaw was appointed by the Grandmaster to succeed Paul Kirk as Earth's operative in the Manhunters. He was awarded the ceremonial costume, blue mask and power baton of the group. Following the disbanding of the Manhunters, Shaw Was assumed the costumed identity of the Privateer (in JLA #143). Manhunter's sole appearances have been in FIRST ISSUE SPECIAL #5 and JUSTICE LEAGUE #140-141.

MARY MARVEL
Secretly Mary Batson Bromfleld, Mary Marvel is the sister to Captain Marvel's alter ego, Billy Batson, and shares with him super-powers awarded by the wizard Shazam. She had her own series in WOW #9-58, MARY MARVEL #1-25, MASTER #118, and MARVEL FAMILY #1-89.

MERA
The other-dimensional wife of Aquaman, Mera first appeared in AQUAMAN #11 and married the Sea King in AQUAMAN #18. She strictly appears in her husband's series. Her first JLA appearance was in JLA #88, and she has also appeared in #90

MERCURY
The Roman god Mercury (also know by the Greek name Hermes) was one of the gods and heroes who gave Captain Marvel his powers, and is a counterpart to the Hermes who gave the infant Wonder Woman her powers. He appeared in JLA #135-137, assembling the heroes of Earths 1, 2 and S to battle King Kull.

MERLIN THE MAGICIAN
The mythic sorcerer of King Arthur's court was summoned in JLA #2 to reveal why science no longer works on Earth. He appeared frequently in DEMON

METAMORPHO
Actually Rex Mason, a soldier of fortune, Metamorpho gained the ability to transform his body into any element or form at will by taking a serum invented by Simon Stagg while exposed to a glowing meteor In a pyramid. He appeared in his own series In BRAVE & BOLD #57-58, METAMORPHO #1-17, ACTION #413-418 and WORLD'S FINEST . His first JLA appearance was in JLA #42 where he declined membership, and his second was JLA #100-102 to celebrate the JLA's anniversary. He was declared a reserve member.

MINDGRABBER KID
Secretly high school student Lucian Crawley, Mindgrabber Kid is a mutant with psychokinetic and telepathic powers. His only appearance was in JLA #70.

MR. SCARLET
Attorney Brian Butler is Mr. Scarlet, a costumed acrobat. He appeared in his own series in WOW #1-69 and AMERICA'S GREATEST #1-7. He was shown to be on Earth-S in JLA #135-137.

MR. TERRIFIC
Really financial wizard Terry Sloane, Mr. Terrific is a costumed acrobat who wore for an emblem the motto "Pair Play." He appeared in his own series in SENSATION #1-63 and was a guest of the JSA in ALL-STAR #24. His first JLA appearance was in JLA #37-38, and he has appeared only briefly in two others.

THE ORACLE
A mystical omniscient galactic entity, the Oracle was summoned in JLA #100-102 to reveal the fate of the Seven Soldiers. He has not been summoned since.

PHANTOM LADY
Secretly Sandra Knight, the daughter of a senator, Phantom Lady is a costumed acrobat who used a black light vision-shrouding ray. She appeared In her own series in POLICE #1-23, PHANTOM LADY #13-23 and ALL-TOP #8-16. She was discovered to be a Freedom Fighter on Earth-X in JLA #107-108. She currently appears in FREEDOM FIGHTERS, where she has gained the power of intangibility.

THE PHANTOM STRANGER
Identity and origin unknown, the Phantom Stranger has various mystical powers. He had his own series in PHANTOM STRANGER #1-6 in the 1950's and was revived in SHOWCASE #80 and appeared in a new series in PHANTOM STRANGER #1-41. He first appeared to the JLA in JLA #103 to warn them of Felix Faust's Halloween plot and again in JLA #110 to rescue them from the Key's Christmas plot. He was offered membership but never accepted ft, prefer -ing to remain a stranger.

PINKY
Secretly Brian Butler's adopted son, Pinky is Mr. Scarlet's youthful assistant and has appeared strictly in his series. He was shown to be living on Earth-S In JLA #135-137.

THE RAY
Secretly reporter Happy Terrill, The Ray gained the ability to ride beams of light and project lightwaves as the result of exposure to cosmic radiation while in a hot air balloon. He appeared in his own series In SMASH 14-40 and was discovered to be a Freedom Fighter on Earth-X in JLA #107-108. He currently appears in FREEDOM FIGHTERS.

RED TORNADO
An android created by T.O. Morrow in JLA #65, the Red Tornado was endowed with the ability to generate a whirlwind with his legs or arms. He participated in four JLA-JSA team-ups before leaving the JSA to join the JLA in JLA #106. (Consult his biography under "Members" for further information.)

ROBIN
Alias Dick Grayson, the college student ward of Bruce (Batman) Wayne Robin is a costumed acrobat who became the Earth-1 Batman's partner after the murder of his aerialist parents. He appeared in his own series in DETECTIVE #385-42. and BATMAN FAMILY #1-7. His first JLA appearance was in JLA #50 and he returned in JLA #91-92 where he was given a new outfit for that one adventure.

ROBIN
Secretly Richard Grayson, diplomat, Robin is a costumed acrobat who used to be the Earth-2 Batman's partner. He first appeared in DETECTIVE #38 and was Batman's co-star in that magazine and in BATMAN . He had his own series in STAR-SPANGLED #65-130. Robin took his mentor's place in the JSA in JLA #55-56, becoming the first new member of that organization since Its original ALL-STAR days. He adapted a uniform derived from Batman'* as a JSA member. He has appeared in five JLA-JSA team-ups to date. In JLA #135-137. he Is clad in the outfit that his Earth-1 counterpart wore In JLA #91-92. Robin currently appears in the revived ALL-STAR #58-62, as a member of the auxiliary Super-Squad.

SANDMAN
Secretly millionaire Wesley Dodds, the Sandman wears a business suit, gasmask, and cape for a costume and uses a wire-poon gun and sleeping gas to overpower criminals. Sandman appeared in his own strip In ADVENTURE #40-102 WORLD'S FINEST #3-7 and was a JSA^ member from ALL-STAR #3-21 (minus #20). His first JLA appearance was JLA #46-47, and he's participated in four JLA-JSA team-ups to date. JLA #113 spotlighted the Sandman and showed why he resumed his original costume rather than the skintight garb he wore from ALL-STAR #10 on.

SANDY
The costumed assistant to Sandman from yaws. ADVENTURE #69-102. Sandy Hawking was shown to have been accidentally trans-formed Into a giant rock-like sand-creature in JLA #113.

SARGON THE SORCEROR
Named after the first king of Assyria, Sargon had magical powers stemming from his mystical Ruby of Life. He appeared in his own series in ALL-AMERICAN #26-50 and 70, SENSATION #34-36, 52-83 GREEN LANTERN #37 and COMIC CAVALCADE #3-16. He was reintroduced in FLASH #186 as a villain. In his only JLA appearance he reformed again to help the JLA battle Star-breaker (JLA #98). He was notified of his honorary membership but did not attend the JLA's anniversary in JLA #100 with the other JLA allies.

SHINING KNIGHT
Secretly becoming a museum employee known only as Justin, the Shining Knight was frozen in ice since the days of King Arthur and decided to fight crime in the 20th Century. He appeared in his own series in ADVENTURE #66-125, 127-128, 131-132, 137-139, 142-145, 148, 150-151, 152, 155, 157, 159, 161, 163, 165-166. He was a member of the Seven Soldiers in LEADING #1-14. In JLA #100-102, he appeared with the other Soldiers scattered throughout time.

THE SPECTRE
When detective Jim Corrigan was murdered, a mysterious Voice granted him ghostly life as the Spectre. He had nearly omnipotent powers and was a fearful Instrument of divine retribution. He appeared in his own series in MORE FUN #52-101 and was a JSA member from ALL-STAR #3-23. His first JLA appearance was in JLA #46-47 and he has appeared in three JLA-JSA team-ups to date. Following his JLA revival, he appeared In his own strip in SHOWCASE #60-61 and #64 and in SPECTRE #1-10. In the last three issues of his own magazine he was sentenced by the Voice to carry the Book of Judgment to atone for his self-righteous vengeance on human beings. In JLA #83, he was found imprisoned in a mausoleum, apparently after completing his atonement task. In this tale his ectoplasmic substance was dispersed by an explosion. He eventually got his substance together in two different incarnations: one in JLA #124 and another that still committed self-righteous vengeance on humans in ADVENTURE #431-440.

SPEEDY
Secretly Roy Harper, ward to Oliver Queen, Speedy Is the costumed assistant to the Earth-2 Green Arrow. He appeared strictly in his mentor's series, and was a member of the Seven Soldiers In LEAPING #1-14. His only JLA appearance was JLA #100-102 with the other Soldiers.

SPY SMASHER
Virginia sportsman Alan Armstrong began his Spy Smasher career during World War II. A costumed athlete, appeared in his own strip in WHIZ #1-83, AMERICA'S GREATEST #1-6, 8, SPY SMASHER #1-11, and ALL-HERO #1. He was shown to be living on Earth-S in JLA #135-137.

STARMAN
Secretly millionaire amateur astronomer Ted Knight, Starman developed a Gravity Rod (later Cosmic Rod) that could control gravity and enable him to fly. Appearing in his own strip in ADVENTURE #61-102, he was a member of the JSA from ALL-STAR #8-23. His first JLA appearance was In JLA #29, and he appeared in five JLA-JSA team-ups to date. He co-starred in BRAVE & BOLD #55-56 with Black Canary.

STAR-SPANGLED KID
Boy Millionaire Sylvester Pemberton is the Star-Spangled Kid, a costumed acrobat who appeared in his own series in STAR-SPANGLED #1-86 and WORLD'S FINEST #6-18. He was a member of the Seven Soldiers of Victory in LEADING #1-14. He appeared in JLA #100-102 with the other Soldiers and has since become a member of the JSA's auxiliary Super-Squad in ALL-STAR #58-62. He utilizes the disabled Star-man's rod (later Cosmic Converter) to control gravity.

ADAM STRANGE
Archaeologist Adam Strange became a hero on the planet Rann when scientists from the planet used a ray called the Zeta Beam to teleport him there. The beam's effects, however, wear off in time and he is automatically teleported back to Earth. Strange has had his own strip In SHOWCASE #17-19, MYSTERY IN SPACE #53-99 and 101 (which was reprinted in STRANGE ADVENTURES #217-244 and DC SUPERSTARS OF SPACE #2, 4, 6, 8, -+. His first JLA appearance was In JLA #24 (in aural form). He was nominated for membership in JLA #4 and 41, but even If elected could not forsake his Rann adventures for full-time JLA duty, (since he can no longer live on Earth. JLA #120-121 depicted his wedding to Alanna and he is currently a permanent resident of Rann. In JLA #138-139, the Zeta Beam was shown to have a new effect on him, causing him to time-travel.

STRIPSEY
Secretly Pat Dugan, Sylvester Pemberton's chauffeur, Stripsey was a costumed acrobat who aided the Star-Spangled Kid in his own series. He was a member of the Seven Soldiers in LEADING #1-14. His only JLA appearance was JLA #100-102 and he is currently said to be retired.

SUPERGIRL
Secretly Linda Lee Danvers, student counselor at New Athens school In Santa Augusta, Fla., Superman and possesses equivalent powers. She debuted in ACTION #252, but was not presented to the world until ACTION #285. She appeared in her own strip in ACTION #252-300, ADVENTURE #381-424. SUPERGIRL #1-10, and is currently in SUPER MAN FAMILY #164. Her only JLA appearance to date has been in JLA #132 and #134 investigating the disappearance of her cousin.

SUPERMAN
Secretly dark Kent, editor of the Daily Star. Superman is the Earth-2 counterpart to the JLA's Superman. His powers are slightly weaker and he is married to Lois Lane. He debuted in ACTION #1 and the 1940's adventures are generally attributed to be his. He was an honorary member of the JSA but only appeared in ALL-STAR #7 and #36. His first JLA appearance was JLA #73 and he's participated in three JLA-JSA team-ups to date. He is currently appearing in the revived ALL-STAR since #62.

JOHNNY THUNDER
A non-costumed, non-acrobat, Johnny Thunder is a mildly dimwitted amateur detective in control of a genie-like Thunderbolt who answers to the words "Cei-U" (pronounced "say you"). The Thunderbolt obeys Thunder's spoken commands literally and can do just about anything. Johnny Thunder appeared in his own series in FLASH #1-91 and WORLD'S FINEST #1-3, and was a JSA member from ALL-STAR #33, 38-39. His first JLA appearance was in JLA #37-38, and he has appeared in seven JLA-JSA team-ups to date, always accompanied by the Thunderbolt.

TOMAR-RE
A member of the Green Lantern Corp. from the planet Xudor, Tomar-re appeared briefly in JLA #80. He was introduced in GREEN LANTERN #6 , where he has appeared numerous times, and was reported to be retired in SUPERMAN #257

UNCLE SAM
The embodiment of American patriotism, Uncle Sam is a mystery figure with superstrength and invulnerability who debuted during World War II. He appeared in NATIONAL COMICS #1-45 and UNCLE SAM #1-8. He was shown to be a Freedom Fighter on Earth-X in JLA #107-108 and currently appears In the FREEDOM FIGHTERS.

VIGILANTE
Secretly Greg Saunder, of Earth-1 is a crimefighter using a cowboy motif. He rode a motorcycle and used a lariat and six-guns. His only JLA appearance was in JLA #78-79, where it was reported he was in retirement. He came out of retirement to appear in ADVENTURE #417 and #421 in his own strip.

VIGILANTE
Secretly Greg Saunders, a singer called the Prairie Troubador, the Vigilante of Earth-2 is H a crimefighter essentially similar to his |B§ Earth-1 counterpart. He had his own series in ACTION #42-198 and WESTERN #1-4 and was a member of the Seven Soldiers in LEADING #1-14. His only JLA appearance was in JLA #100-102.

WILDCAT
Secretly former Heavyweight boxing champion Ted Grant, Wildcat is a costumed acrobat inspired by Green LANTERN to become a crimefighter. He had his own series in SENSATION #1-90 and COMIC CAVALCADE #1-2 and was a guest of the JSA in ALL-STAR #24 and 27. His first JLA appearance was in JLA #46-47 and he has participated in four JLA-JSA team-ups as a full-fledged member of the JSA. He has an Earth-1 counterpart who seemingly popped out of nowhere during the 1960's to team with Batman in frequent issues of BRAVE ft BOLD (beginning in #88) and with Creeper in SUPER-TEAM FAMILY #2. The Earth-2 Wildcat currently appears In the revived ALL-STAR #58-62.

WILLOW
Formerly an Oriental master of the martial arts, Willow lived on Earth by another name before marrying the tree-being who took over the body of her dead lover. Leaving Earth in energy-form, the two became one with the universe and each other. She returned to Earth in JLA #142 with an altered physical appearance to have her celestial child.

WONDER WOMAN
Secretly nurse Diana Prince, Wonder Woman is the Earth-2 counterpart of the JLA's Wonder Woman, with comparable attributes. She debuted in ALL-STAR #8 and appeared in her own series in SENSATION #1-106 and WONDER WOMAN #1-255. The 1940's WW adventures are generally attributed as being hers. She was a member of the JSA from ALL-STAR #11-57 and served as Its secretary. Her first JLA appearance was in JLA #55-56 and she has participated in 7 JLA-JSA team-ups.

ZATANNA
The female magician Zatanna casts spells by saying things backwards and uses her powers as an entertainer. She debuted in HAWKMAN #4, and also appeared in ATOM #19, Green Lantern #42 and DETECTIVE #355 in a quest for her father. She had her own strip in ADVENTURE #413-416, 419 and 421 and SUPERGIRL #1-5. Her first JLA appearance was in JLA #51 which wrapped up her quest for Zatara. She also appeared in JLA #87 and #100-102 and is apparently a stand-by member of the group.

ZATARA
Before becoming the father of Zatanna, Zatara the Magician possessed the powers his daughter inherited. He appeared in his own series in ACTION #1-132,136,138,141 and WORLD'S FINEST #1-41, 43-45. 47-51. His only appearance in JLA being JLA #51, Zatara '» subsequent appearances have been in his daughter's strip in ADVENTURE #413-416 and with Elongated Man in DETECTIVE Despite his adventures having taken place in the 1940's, Zatara is a native of Earth-1.
